President Trump’s record on life is undeniable. He became the first sitting president to address the March for Life, appointed Supreme Court justices who helped overturn Roe v. Wade through the Dobbs decision, and consistently advanced policies that protect unborn children. These actions reshaped the national conversation and restored the ability of states to defend life.
The letter also affirms appreciation for the Administration’s enforcement of the Hyde Amendment, reevaluation of Title X funding, rescission of harmful Biden-era policies, and annual proclamations recognizing the National Sanctity of Human Life Day. These steps sent a clear signal that the federal government should never subsidize or promote abortion.
However, the letter raises serious concerns regarding the actions of the Food and Drug Administration. Specifically, it highlights the FDA’s continued expansion of access to the abortion drug mifepristone through mail-order distribution, telehealth prescriptions, and the recent approval of an additional generic version of the drug. These actions stand in direct tension with a pro-life agenda and place women and unborn children at increased risk.
