I know that all of you are busy sharing the gospel, taking care of those in need, and all the other things that come along with life and family and running a church. Nevertheless, I had to share something that has been made even more clear to me in the last few days than I would have imagined.
I don’t know if you have had the opportunity to watch any of the confirmation hearings for President Trump’s cabinet picks, but if you have, you probably realize the same thing I have. The battle for the future of our nation is far from over. Some of the questions have been outright ridiculous and show that the leftist agenda is not slowing down. We have people who want a Woke, God-hating, fully secular government and are going to do anything they can to see that happen. They absolutely despise God and his way of doing life, family, and nation. As usual, in my view, this IS NOT about “politics.” We as Christians have to STOP letting “evangelical leaders” who do not have a Biblical worldview sway us into inactivity.
This is where you come in. As you have heard me say again and again, your people want to hear from you on the issues of the day. Polls have shown that some of the very “hot topic” items that pastors are most afraid to preach about are the exact things that your congregation wants to hear about from you. Let me encourage you to not back down from preaching the truth about marriage, sexuality, gender, life, and all the other moral issues that some pastors, not you, avoid because they are deemed too political. Let’s face it, many American church-goers cannot connect the dots on issues with Biblical truth. Your people NEED you to help them get Biblical clarity in these days of total moral confusion and noise.
I know you have a backbone to stand for truth and a heart that loves God and people. So, let me give you a word of encouragement and a promise that Faith Wins is going to be right there with you. In the days ahead, we are going to keep you informed and equipped to know what is happening in government and to rightly apply the scriptures to every issue. We are already engaging on the ground as states begin their legislative year and there is more to come all across our nation.
