Who is in your inner circle? We all know it’s important to have close confidants, who we can trust, who will discuss important matters and speak with truth. The President has his cabinet, Politicians have their advisors, Pastors have their staff and deacons, and Christ had his disciples. Take a moment and look at your inner circle from a different perspective. Who is in your inner circle? Do you feel comfortable discussing important issues with them? Do you believe they will hold those conversations in truth and trust? Do they they make you stronger in your faith? Partnership and teamwork can be so important to accomplishing a common goal. This is likewise very important in the political arena. Are you building coalitions of like-minded individuals to make an impact locally? In order to be a light in the political arena, it is necessary to hear the opinions of people who oppose your thoughts and ideas. However, the opposing thoughts of others should not consume your conversations. Stand strong in your relationships, being steadfast in your goals, loving others for the cause of Christ. “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” ~ Ephesians 4:3-6 ‘When two or three are gathered together in My name’ |
